The Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC) has revealed the finalists for the prestigious 2024 FPC Fresh Awards, setting the stage for a thrilling celebration of innovation, sustainability, and excellence within the UK's vibrant fresh produce industry.



The finalists represent a diverse range of companies and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievements across a broad spectrum of categories, from cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices to outstanding leadership and marketing campaigns.


Importantly, the retailer categories reflect the true favourites of UK shoppers, with winners chosen through consumer votes. The awards also shine a spotlight on the expertise and professionalism of UK growers and international suppliers who play a crucial role in delivering high-quality fresh produce to consumers.


Key Highlights:


  • Technology Champion: The inaugural Technology Champion award, sponsored by Choco, highlights finalists including Agbotic, Hall Hunter, and Wootzano, who are revolutionising the industry with cutting-edge solutions.

  • Sustainability Leaders: The Sustainability Excellence category, sponsored by Smurfit WestRock, acknowledges the significant contributions of companies including Albert Bartlett, Angus Soft Fruits, and Blue Skies towards a more sustainable future. Notably, this category recognises achievements across Ethical, Climate and Supply Chain Excellence with three awards to be won.

  • Wholesale Excellence: The Wholesale Fruit & Veg Supplier of the Year category, sponsored by Spitalfields Market, features finalists like BelOrta, Dole Imports, and Four Seasons Fruiterers, who play a crucial role in the supply chain.

  • Rising Stars and Industry Leaders: The Rising Star of the Year category shines a spotlight on promising young talent like Driscoll's Tom Dring and PrepWorld's Ellie Shapcott, while the Manager of the Year category celebrates exceptional leadership from individuals like BerryWorld Group's Stefan Rusev and Flamingo's Rosie Radford.

  • Celebrating UK Growers and International Suppliers: The awards recognize the expertise and professionalism of UK growers and international suppliers, with categories like UK Grower of the Year and International Supplier of the Year highlighting their contributions to the industry.

  • Retailer Awards Reflect Consumer Choice: The retailer awards, including Multiple Fruit and Veg Retailer of the Year, Multiple Floral Retailer of the Year, Convenience Retailer of the Year, and Online Retailer of the Year, are decided by consumer votes, ensuring they truly reflect the preferences of UK shoppers
