In a significant expansion, Morrisons has broadened its partnership with Just Eat, now offering delivery services from more than 380 supermarkets across the UK.
The move follows the successful initial integration with Morrisons Cafés in 2022 and an extension to 60 Morrisons Daily convenience stores in 2023. Presently, nearly 700 Morrisons Daily stores are involved.
The partnership allows customers to order a wide range of products, including fresh items from Market Street and everyday essentials, delivered directly to their doors. Morrisons Online Operations Director, Charlotte Exell, expressed excitement about this new offering, emphasising the combination of high-quality products and excellent value. "This partnership brings a fast and convenient delivery option to more customers nationwide," she said.
To enhance customer experience, Just Eat is providing free delivery on orders over £15 until the end of 2024. Amy Heather, Director of Strategic Accounts at Just Eat UK, highlighted the increasing demand for on-demand groceries, noting that over a million customers utilised their services last year. "We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Morrisons to bring convenient and flexible grocery delivery options to more consumers," Heather remarked.
The collaboration initially launched with Morrisons Cafés and was later expanded to Morrisons Daily stores, showing a robust demand for Morrisons' products through Just Eat's platform. With this new development, Morrisons customers can now access a broad range of products, including fresh produce, meat, dairy, and store cupboard essentials, enhancing convenience and ease of access.
This strategic move aligns with Just Eat’s broader objectives of catering to the rising consumer demand for quick and reliable grocery delivery services. As more consumers seek flexibility and convenience in their shopping habits, the partnership between Morrisons and Just Eat aims to meet these needs effectively.
Morrisons' latest expansion marks a notable milestone in the evolving grocery delivery landscape, reflecting the retailer's commitment to adapting to changing consumer preferences and enhancing service delivery. The partnership not only benefits customers with more options but also strengthens Morrisons' market presence in the competitive grocery sector.
